Noah's Ark Natural Animal Sanctuary, lovingly known as NANAS.

NANAS, the animal sanctuary originated as NOAH'S ARK LODGE Private Animal Shelter in Singapore in 1995 caring for neglected, abused and needy animals.

Our Mission

· to nurse ill or abused animals back to health

· to rescue endangered and at-risk animals

· to give all animals the opportunity to live out their lives with dignity

· to share animal bonding, empathy and compassion

It all began when Raymund Wee chanced upon the opportunity to set up an animal shelter in Jalan Kayu, Seletar. Fuelled by his love for the strays,  he transformed NOAH'S ARK into one of the foremost private animal shelters in Singapore. Raymund poured body and soul into his work for the strays and practised dog grooming to rake in extra funds to support the animals. Coupled with this, he also had to see to the day-to-day running of the animal farm and tended to the animals when they fell ill.

In   June  2000, with the help of his many volunteers and supporters, Raymund   had to move the sanctuary   from Singapore to Malaysia which is now located in Pekan Nanas, Johore. From the early beginnings of 400 animals, Noah's Ark is now home to 700 dogs, 400 cats, 5 horses and all creatures great and small.

Noah’s Ark CARES (Companion Animals Rescue & Education) was formed in June 2005, it is a non-profit organization which aims to reduce the strays in Singapore through active sterilization, micro chipping, rehoming , licensing of such animals   and to support the 1,000  animals on the sanctuary.

We have been told so often that every year 13,000 animals are abandoned and put to sleep when new homes and owners cannot be found for them . In our often busy lives, we sometimes forget that every one of the 13,000 animals are healthy flesh and blood, with feelings.

Every year, new pets are bought. Some are abandoned or lost. Not all these pets are found, rescued and sent to the pound. Many of them get lost and wander into forestlands, construction sites, factory areas or killed in accidents.

Let’s all come together for the love of the animals. Their main aim in life is to bring us happiness. Let’s make a difference in their lives too. Let’s give them the love and happiness they deserve.

What keeps us going

Apart from our love and passion for the animals, we depend solely on the support of private donors and volunteers as we do not benefit from government subsidies or corporate funds.

We are also dependent on animal sponsorship and fundraising events to help us stay afloat. So please help us to help the animals!

What we need to keep 1,000 animals alive.

Dog Dry Food - 17 bags a day or 306kg a day

Dog Tin Food - 1 carton a day or 700gm x 24 cans = 16.8kg

Cat Dry Food - 1 bag a day or 23kg a day

Cat Tin Food - 10 cans a day  or 400gm x 10 cans = 4kg

Cat Litter - S$1,000/- a month
