Kusuri Klay is a high purity
Montmorillonite clay powder that is used widely throughout the world in
Koi & fish ponds. With regular use, your fish will experience improved
health, better skin lustre and enjoy better water quality. INTRODUCTION
Montmorillonite
are naturally mineral rich clays, formed many millions of years ago under
certain geological conditions. It contains a balance of minerals in their
natural colloidal form, making it easily assimilated. The minerals present
in Montmorillonite
enhance the production of enzymes in all living organisms. An average
mineral analysis of Montmorillonite
by health experts demonstrate it contains no less than 67 minerals,
including vital trace minerals. It is used as a human health food
as well as in the fish industry. Recently it has been recognized and
utilized by the cosmetic industry and by soil experts, who value it as an
exceptionally good agricultural enhancement: crops grow faster, taste
better, and are more resistant to disease. USE IN KOI PONDS The idea that Montmorillonite clays
could be used in the remineralisation of ponds originate in Japan. Natural
mud ponds are lined with Montmorillonite to seal them. It was also
discovered that feeding small Quantities to koi and occasionally bathing
them in it or adding regulated dosages to the pond resulted in wonderful
and significant effects on their colour and lustre. Montmorillonite can be
easily added to your daily ration of food. This is an excellent idea as it
will replicate the koi feeding continuously off minute mineral rich
particles on the floor of mud darns. Many products currently available
to koi keepers use low quality bentonite clay which although contains
Montmorillonite, may not have the correct percentage mineral content. BENEFITS Kusuri Klay is the result of considerable research and is a high purity calcium montmorillonite clay with the right mineral content and composition for use in koi ponds. Kusuri Klay enhances water quality, replenish and enhance minerals and remove certain unwanted wastes. The uses and benefits go further than this. it improves the lustre and skin quality of koi as well as heightening the colour. Added to food it aids digestion and increase the koi's ability to assimilate the vitamins and minerals required in their diet. In the closed pond environment, clay is becoming widely used for many beneficial reasons, Firstly, as a natural mineral injection into the pond, which replenishes the mineral content of the water, aiding Koi health. The most obvious benefit to be seen
by the Koi keeper is enhanced water clarity, normally evident in 24
hrs. Skin/scale lustre & colour can
show improvement, especially the white base pigmentation if regularly
applied to the pond (normally 4-6 weeks). When used as a food additive, Kusud
Klay will result in increases in growth rate. Research has shown
that when used at a feed rate of 8% of feed weight, and fed at 3% of body
weight, Koi appetite increased by 10% and more importantly, an increase in
growth rate of up to 22% was achieved. There are toxins present in Koi
food that comes from fungi. If ingested by Koi, these toxins will affect
its immune system resulting in higher susceptibility to diseases. If mixed
with Koi feed, Kusuri Klay is able to bind these toxins to its surfaces
preventing Koi from digesting them and eventually passing them out as
faeces. DIRECTION FOR USE Adding to water Mix
the clay well into a bucket of pond water and add the milky solution
slowly around the pond. Pond may take on a milky appearance which will
clear in about 12 – 24 hrs. If
you are showing your fish at a show or event, dose pond 3 times in the
week before show, and increase dosage by 50%.
