QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Q. Why is Azmira considered as all life-stage food?
A. Because Azmira uses only top quality ingredients and a balanced approach to nutrition, Azmira foods meet the nutritional requirements of puppies/kittens, adults & seniors. Most specialty age foods are built on marketing hype not logic and research. Example: Puppies/Kittens are growing and require more frequent meals with lots of easy to digest nutrients. Thinking of a human baby and it's feeding, we feed our young more often than we do adults, but their food is basically the same (ground up or liquefied). Commercial pet foods for this age are typically VERY high in fat (easy energy), but with the same ingredients as is in the adult foods. If you look at Senior foods, they are typically low in protein and low in fat because older pets often suffer from obesity, kidney and heart disease. Vets typically recommend avoiding aggravating these conditions by eliminating nutrients
instead of demanding better ingredients that the body can actually use to avoid cannibalizing itself!
Q. How do I know that herbs can be safely given to my pet?
A. Animals have been eating herbs in the wild since humans first noticed many believe we learned to treat ourselves by observing which herbs animals chose at what times.
Most herbs toxicity studies have been conducted on animals but results were interpreted solely for human use
and now regulating boards do not consider these results to indicate that the herbs were safe for the animals even though the animals proved it safe enough for the humans to ingest!
Certain herbs, are not appropriate for all specieswhich is why we work closely with Lisa Newman and other leading veterinary consultants with the experience needed to assure the proper and effective use of Azmira nutraceutical products in all pets.
In addition, we have carefully chosen and tested each herbal or nutritional ingredient for recommended potencies and optimum safety values prior to manufacturing and continue to conduct laboratory analysis to maintain quality.
Often when the immune system responds, symptoms may temporarily get worse but will then more quickly reverse themselves than previously able. Small percentages of individual pets may have specific allergies this reaction will be apparent to you within a few minutes of feeding the ingredient
simply discontinue any herbal or nutritional supplement and seek you advice if you have any concerns.
Q. Why is Azmira superior to other natural pet products manufacturers?
A. First call the other manufacturers and ask them to explain their healing philosophies and prove with certified documentation (not marketing materials) their success. Then call us at 1-800-497-5665 to experience trained professionals with proven know-how and a sincere desire to truly help your pet! For specific protocol questions, associates are also available si days a week at 1-520-886-1727.
Q. What is the curative response and how might my pet react?
A. Dr Newman's proven holistic protocols will stimulate the immune system into responding. Detoxification is the first step naturally taken by the body which is why we support it, through homeopathy, nutrients and herbs, to function more quickly and effectively. A pet's symptoms may temporarily get worse, but quickly reverse during a curative response then was previously able, while your pet grows stronger. Waste will present itself, including old fecal matter (at times with worms, mucous or dried blood present); borderline thyroid levels (due to stress); bacteria, WBC/RBC's or crystals in the urine and skin eruptions. If symptoms continue longer than a few weeks or the pet seems weakened by the process, then a deeper dysfunction is the cause and additional Azimra supplementation or dietary changes are required to help the pet. All successful outcomes are based on this systematic approach. Stop any supplement or diet and seek advice if you ever have any concerns.
Q. How can I best feed my pet nutritional or herbal supplements with a minimum of hassles?
A. The easiest way is to open supplement capsules and empty contents directly into the pet's meal. Add warm water or canned food and mix the food well. Herbs can also have strong flavours that do best when covered up.
By dividing the daily supplement requirements between 2 or more meals, you wiil provide a better rate of absorption for the nutrient and have less of the ingredient to give at any one time. This will please your pets' palate and tummy (as the full daily requirement may be too much to digest at once, especially for older or weaker pets
Herbal extracts, for the fullest effect, are best given on an empty stomach. Be sure to first dilute extract with a little water or apple juice (tuna water works great for cats). Some pets may be too sensitive digestively at first to tolerate them this way. If your pet refuses to take a supplement orally or suffers a digestive upset, then adding herbs to the meal will dilute the herb's taste, yet still benefit your pet.
Q. How quickly can I tell if my pet is getting better on this protocol?
A. Each pet will respond individually to Dr Newman's Holistic Animal Care Lifestyle based on the overall diet and lifestyle you have been and are now providing. More obvious symptoms may begin reversing within a day or two, while deeper dysfunction may take months to fully address. It takes 3 to 5 weeks for an old toxic cell to be replaced by a new healthier cell. Each time the pet moves through a curative process they improve. You should see gradual but continual overall effect; deeper weaknesses strengthen and, kept on the Lifestyle approach, your pet will maintain optimum health.
Q. What is proteinated minerals? Does it mean chelated minerals?
A. Minerals in their base form are not the easiest thing for the body to use. By attaching the mineral molecules to an amino acid or protein molecule, the body can better assimilate them. Proteinated minerals are attached to proteins. Chelated minerals are attached to amino acids. Amino Acids are grouped together to make proteins.
Q. What is a difference in nutritional need between dog & cat?
A. Cats have much higher metabolisms, need more Taurine (meat based amino acid), rarely eat out of boredom. Larger dog breeds can benefit greatly from solid Vitamin C supplementation to avoid bone and joint disorders. Cat foods must be smaller and they like some shape' to dry kibble. Cats are true carnivores they absolutely require meat to remain healthy. Dogs will tolerate the poor nutrition of vegetarian diets for longer (but not much). |
